Okay, so here is my first real post to tell you what is going on in our family ( I can't imagine who would really want to read this other than me! But oh well) Anyway, last weekend being Human Rights Day, Carter had Monday off from school and so at the last minute we decided to go to Island Park with Robyn & Doug and their kids and Grandma, Grandpa & JeNel. It was a beautiful weekend. It hadn't snowed up there for a couple of weeks so the roads were clear and the driveway in was already plowed. The kids had a blast playing in the snow, riding around on the sleds behind the 4 wheeler (who needs a snowmobile????) and digging a huge snow cave with the help of their dads. We also had a nice time just watching the snow from inside the nice warm cabin and drinking hot chocolate! Jace & Grandpa had a little food fight which is definitely a first! Jace was playing with the spoon in a bowl and green salad and flipped some at Grandpa. I thought "oh, no" because Grandpa likes things clean! But he just picked up the salad and threw it right back in Jace's face. Jace just sat there like he could not believe someone had done that to him. It was one of the funniest things I have seen in awhile and being the mom of Jace, I see a lot of funny things! It was even funnier when Grandma came in and said "Why is there lettuce on the floor?" It was a great weekend! Now it's snowing again and it's freezing (4 degrees!) outside so I am glad we took advantage last weekend and went to play.
